Designer Gordy Jimenez was born on the beautiful island of enchantment Puerto Rico on November 22, 1962. From an early age, Gordy watched her mother sew and design pieces of clothing. Her mother sewed for her all the clothes that Gordy wore in her childhood. From there she aroused her desire to dedicate herself to fashion.

In 1993, Gordy's began her studies in fashion at the FASHION INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (F.I.T) in New York City. During that time she majored in Menswear Design.

After several years, Gordy made the decision to transfer to Bauder College in Atlanta, Georgia in 1996. At this prestigious university, he completed his associate degree in Fashion Design, adding other specializations such as: Women's Clothing Design, swimsuit, underwear and finally coat design.

Her haute couture designs stood out and her unique touch unleashed national and international recognition for this great Puerto Rican. Catwalks, fashion events, dressing entertainment personalities and candidates for beauty pageants, among others.

In her continued development Gordy decides to launch her atelier for 2014 called “Gordy's Atelier”. A space where she established her workshop where she currently attends to all her clients in order to design their specialized garments. “Best Fashion Designer” is the most recent award obtained by Gordy's Atelier, making it the best designer in Central Florida, United States.

She has obtained this award twice for 2018 and 2021. A GALA that every year selects the best designers in the world of fashion in the Sunshine State of Florida. Without a doubt, Gordy has established herself as one of the best designers due to her preparation, talent, hard work and, above all, her unique style when designing and creating.
